Liebe Lucy,A year ago you decided you liked the format people use online when they write letters to their future selves. You wrote a blog post titled 'Dear Future Me' on the blog you've been posting on rather sporadically since August 2012 when you were 15. That blog started out its life as a place for reviews of books you'd read but over time you decided that your love of books really needed a place of its own, prompting you to create A Book And A Brew, a blog title you were pretty proud of yourself for and still love which is rare for someone as indecisive as you, meaning lucytregidon.blogspot.com became a place mainly for your thoughts.
Here you sit, little under a year since your last letter to yourself, thinking. Wouldn't it be nice to have a place to write letters to yourself more often? Wouldn't it be nice to dedicate a whole little slice of the internet to it? After watching a lot of Letters To July videos by Emily Diana Ruth on YouTube your brain has started wandering, thinking it would be nice to write a letter or two from time to time.
In a spur of the moment, mid-night decision you decided to create this blog. You
named it 'Liebe Lucy' mainly because all of the variations of addressing yourself in your own language were already taken and when it became choosing between Liebe Lucy, German, or Annwyl Lucy, Welsh, you went with Liebe Lucy because you like how it sounds. The alliteration has something quite satisfying in it. Also, you speak far more German these days than you do Welsh, despite Welsh being the language of the country you live in.
So, Lucy, here's the first of what I hope will be many letters.
